HP Now Offering 1080p Screens on Pavilion Notebooks

HP is now offering a full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080 resolution) screen on select 15.6- and 17.3-inch Pavilion consumer notebooks. The Pavilion dv6t Select Edition and dv6t and dv7t Quad Editions are now available with the 1080p screen. Previously, the dv6t models maxed out at a low 720p (1366 x 768) resolution and the dv7t at an equally less-than-impressive 900p (1600 x 900) resolution. The higher resolution of the 1080p screen means that more content can be seen on the screen at a time without excessive scrolling, as is necessary with 720p screens. The 1080p screen is a $150 upgrade over the base screen.
