HP wasted little time rolling out new products at CES 2010, today announcing the new TouchSmart tm2 tablet/notebook combo, and three new Mini netbooks.
Both a Tablet and a Notebook
HP touts the TouchSmart tm2 as the first convertible notebook PC featuring multitouch technology aimed specifically at a consumer audience. Users can are free to select their own personal configuration, be it a traditional laptop with keyboard highlighted by a touch-enabled display, or as a tablet, using either a digital pen or multiple finger gestures.
Under the hood, the TouchSmart tm2 features Intel Core 2 Duo processors and a six-cell battery offering up to nine hours of juice. HP also claims the tm2 has an “advanced thermal design to help keep the PC cool.”
A bevy of touch applications come preloaded, including photo-editing software, tools for organizing and managing media, and a touch-enabled Netflix app.
How Do You Like Your Netbook?
Designed for many user types, the HP Mini 5102 is chock full of options. Available with or without multi-touch functionality, the Mini 5102 features a 95% full-size keyboard, a 10.1-inch diagonal LED display (available in either WSVGA or HD), and uses HP facial recognition technology for its on-board 2 megapixel webcam.
Other specs include Intel Atom N450 processor, mobile broadband connectivity, and either a four- or six-cell battery, that latter of which provides up to 10 hours of power.
HP is offering a scaled down version of the Mini 5102 for students, which also includes document management and portfolio creation software.
At 2.69 pounds and less than an inch thin, the HP Mini 210 is designed as a PC companion for travelers, while the Mini 2102 is its slightly larger and more loaded brother. Other specs and features for both the Mini 210 and Mini 2102 include:

Pricing and Availability
The HP TouchSmart TM2 will start at $949. The HP Mini 5102 will start at $399. The HP Mini 210 will be available for $299. And the HP Mini 2102 will start at $329. All will be available this month.
