HP and Samsung Collaborate on Mobile Print Offering for Galaxy S4

by Reads (3,723)

HP and Samsung introduced a new built-in mobile print technology for the Samsung Galaxy S4 that allows customers to send print jobs from their device to HP printers without having to download an app.

This new technology is an embedded solution that enables built-in wireless printing compatibility for over 200 HP printers set up over a network. No drivers, apps or network configurations needed. Users will be able to access printer settings and options such as duplexing, color, orientation and paper type.

There are two ways to print: by having the Galaxy S4 and the HP printer set up on the same local network or by using wireless direct print.

The new print offering is currently only available on the Samsung Galaxy S4, but will be available later this year via a firmware upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy S III and Note II.
