GreenPrint Helps Tone Down Printing Costs

by Reads (2,278)

GreenPrint Technologies has introduced TonerMeter, an application designed to help organizations measure and monitor toner coverage and, ultimately, toner costs in managed print services (MPS) engagements.

TonerMeter software provides users with detailed metrics on ink and toner use enabling print administrators to track print metrics at the individual, workgroup or organizational level.

The new software reportedly works with most printers and applications and is available for all versions of Microsoft Windows. Requiring no user level interaction, the application passively tracks toner coverage and printing metrics and sends updates to a web database, according to the company.

TonerMeter integrates into Greenprint’s suite of print management software and uses the GreenPrint Analytics web administration console to display metrics. The new software can also be incorporated into independent third-party applications.

According to industry sources, ink and toner is an expensive line item for companies running approximately $500 or more per employee. This expense information is critical for organizations bidding for MPS contracts.

GreenPrint Technology provides software solutions that address the costs associated with enterprise and individual printing activities.
