Gateway Launches ID Series Notebooks

Gateway introduced its uniquely-styled ID series notebooks starting at $679.99.
The ID series notebooks are thin and lightweight and feature aluminum lids. There are two sizes: the 14-inch ID49 and the 15.6-inch ID59. The ID49 weighs 5.07 lbs and the ID59 5.5 lbs; both measure just one inch thin.

The ID series notebooks feature Intel Core i3 and i5 dual-core processors. The screen resolution on both models is 1366×768 (720p).
The ID series feature Nvidia Optimus technology, which allows the notebook to automatically switch between integrated Intel HD graphics and the dedicated Nvidia GeForce GT 330M graphics on-the-fly for the best balance of performance and power conservation.

Gateway’s latest notebooks feature a “social networking button”; pressing the button launches a widget which gives customers quick access to their Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr accounts.

The ID series notebooks are available now and come with a one-year limited warranty. The ID49 starts at $679.99 and the ID59 $799.99.
