Gateway introduces new desktops

Gateway today introduced a variety of new desktop computers, with prices ranging from $749.99 to $1149.99.

Gateway has three series of notebook PCs – the FX (gaming/enthusiast), DX (mainstream), and GT (value).

The FX4710 is the newest addition to the FX series, and has the following specifications for $1149.99:

  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5GHz
  • 6GB RAM
  • Nvidia GeForce 9800GT overclocked
  • Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit

Gateway is introducing two new DX-series desktops, the DX4710 and the DX4200, which are sold in retail-exclusive configurations.

DX4710:

  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz
  • Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
  • 6GB RAM

The DX4710 will retail for $999.99 and include a 2-year warranty and 22-inch Gateway monitor.

DX4200:

  • AMD Phenom 9500 quad-core 64-bit processor
  • 6GB RAM
  • ATI Radeon HD 3450 Hybrid graphics

The DX4200 will retail for $749.99.

Gateway also introduced two new GT-series desktops, the GT5692 and GT 5694. They feature AMD Phenom triple-core processors, 4GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, and Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. The GT5694 includes built-in 802.11g dual-band Wireless LAN.
