Epson has taken their PictureMate line of compact photo printers one step further with their newest PictureMate release, the Show, a portable two-in-one digital photo frame and photo printer just in time for the holiday season.

The PictureMate Show photo printer produces a 4×6 four-color dye image in as fast as 37 seconds while offering the highest maximum resolution, 5760 x 1440 dpi, among its peers. The print sizes vary from 0.3 x 0.3 inches up to 4 x 6 inches and the prints are smudge, fade and water resistant.  Epson includes auto photo correction, crop, and red eye removal features along with black-and-white and sepia color effects for printing a wide array of displayable shots.

On the photo frame side, the PictureMate Show is a 7-inch 16:9 tilt digital display with WVGA image resolution up to 800 x 480 dpi.   It features 12 slideshow options for display, a remote control for browsing photos, 270 MB internal memory, and a built-in card reader with USB flash drive capability.

The PictureMate Show can also be upgraded to include wireless connectivity by purchasing the optional Bluetooth adapter.  It is compatible with several Windows and Mac operating systems including Windows 7 and Mac OS x.

Epson has continued to make its products eco friendly and the PictureMate Show is no exception.  It is Energy Star qualified, RoHS compliant, and recyclable at the end of its life cycle.

The Epson PictureMate Show is available now through Epson.com for $299.99.  Currently, Epson offers two photos packs: the PictureMate 200 series Print Pack Glossy for $37.99 and the PictureMate 200 series Print Pack Matte for $32.99.  The photo packs include enough ink and paper for 150 glossy 4×6 images (roughly 25 cents a photo) or 100 matte 4×6 images (approx. 32 cents a photo).
