Epson announced the addition of a new 17 inch large format printer – the Stylus Pro 3880 – to its popular line earlier this morning.

The Stylus Pro 3880 replaces the Stylus Pro 3800 in the new lineup and features many of Epson’s newest technology including: Ultra K3 with Vivid Magenta ink, a MicroPiezo AMC print head, AccuPhoto HD2 image technology and Precise Color Manufacturing.

Other features the Pro 3880 offers include: advanced black and white photo mode with auto switching black inks, wide-format prints up to 17×22, cut-sheet media handling and nine individual 80 ml ink cartridges.

The Stylus Pro 3880 will be available in two styles: the Graphic Arts Edition or the Standard Edition. The Graphic Arts Edition has a PANTONE-licensed ColorBurst Raster Image Processor with built-in PANTONE colors and integrated ICC profiles.

Both the Epson Stylus Pro 3880 Standard and Graphic Arts Edition will be available in October through for $1295 and $1495, respectively.
