EFI, a vendor of customer-focused digital printing solutions, introduced Fiery System 10, its next generation Fiery platform, a front-end system for production digital printing.
According to EFI, the Fiery System 10 provides advanced capabilities in four key areas: color, usability, performance and integration. The new platform delivers documents faster, is able to guarantee color consistency at all times due to the latest system calibration technology, offers tighter integration with the printer’s finishing options, and provides greater flexibility and control.
The new Fiery Calibrator is a major enhancement to the latest Fiery System 10, offering job-based calibration to increase calibration accuracy and effectiveness that is customized for a specific job and the associated media and profiles. The Fiery System 10 also incorporates a Calibration Guard to provide calibration status, warnings, and alerts to encourage calibration to take place and ensure color quality.
The Fiery Image Enhance Visual Editor (IEVE) is a new feature available on the Command Workstation print job management and user interface software that ships with Fiery System 10. IEVE allows editing each image in a job without going back to the native design file, saving companies time and money, according to EFI. IEVE also simplifies editing and offers users manual controls to individually adjust brightness, contrast, highlights, shadows, color balance, sharpness and to make red-eye corrections on any image within a job.
Continuing the vendor’s commitment to supporting industry standards, the latest generation Fiery product supports PDF/VT-1, the new ISO standard for VDP data exchange.
For businesses with Fiery-driven MFPs, the System 10 enables direct mobile printing from Apple iOS devices to the Fiery-driven printer. Wi-Fi enabled Apple devices such as the iPhone and iPad will automatically discover any System 10 Fiery-driven printer on the same network inside the corporate firewall.
Fiery System 10 is currently available.
