Dish Network, Logitech and Google Team Up for the Revue

Dish Network recently announced their availability of the new Logitech Revue, a set-top box with Google TV, after staying silent about it even though it’s been on sale for a few weeks. The set-top box combines Dish Network’s on-screen programming, Google TV, DVR search capabilities, and Video on Demand to bring a viewing entertainment experience all from one place.

By combining Google TV search and their DVR, Dish Network says the pairing brings Google TV to its fullest, features-wise. The Revue allows customers to not only watch television online using the search options, but they can browse and use the Internet like normal from the sofa, too.

There is an optional $149.99 Logitech webcam that can be hooked up in the set to turn your HDTV into a large videoconferencing or webcam session using an Internet connection.

The revue comes with the companion box, HDMI cable, AA batteries, an IR mini blaster, and a wireless Logitech keyboard with a built-in remote and touchpad.

To run the Revue, you’ll need an HDTV with HDMI, an Internet connection, and a cable or satellite-ready set-top box. Revue is being sold through Dish for Dish customers for $179 and through other retailers for $299.
