Dell launched eight new color laser-class printers with Dell Clear View LED print technology designed for small and medium businesses.

Among the new LED printers, four of the eight are being heralded as the “world’s smallest” in their respective classes.

Starting with the entry level Dell 1250c, the “world’s smallest A4/Letter color laser class printer” dimensions are actually smaller than the area of a single sheet of 11 x 17 paper. It also features print speeds up to 12 pages per minute (ppm) in black and 10 ppm in color, print resolution up to 600 x 600 dpi, a 192 MHz processor with 64 MB of RAM, a maximum monthly duty cycle up to 30,000 pages and a 150-sheet paper tray.

The 1250c is now available through the Dell website for the suggested retail price of $229.

The 1350cnw, while still offering the smallest footprint in its class as well as the standard features seen on the 1250c, adds a few more features including print speeds up to 15 ppm in black and 12 ppm in color, a 384 MHz processor with 128 MB of RAM, a 10-sheet multipurpose tray and built-in networking with wireless connectivity.

The 1350cnw is now available through the Dell website for the suggested retail price of $329.

The 1355cn and 1355cnw are multifunction color printers with print, scan, copy and fax capabilities. Other features include print speeds up to 15 ppm in black and 12 ppm in color, a 295 MHz processor with 128 MB of RAM, a maximum monthly duty cycle up to 30,000 pages, 150-sheet paper tray and a 15-sheet automatic document feeder.

Both units offer built-in networking but the 1355cnw also adds Wi-Fi to the equation. The 1355 series will be available on November 16 through the Dell website. The 1355cn has the suggested retail price of $399 while the 1355cn will go for $449.

The single function Dell 2150cn and 2150cdn feature print speeds up to 24 ppm in both black and color, a print resolution up to 600 x 600 dpi, a 400 MHz processor with 256 MB of RAM, a monthly duty cycle up to 40,000 pages, a 250-sheet standard tray plus a 1-sheet multipurpose tray and built-in networking.

The difference between the two models is that the 2150cdn also offers automatic duplexing. The 2150cn and 2150cdn are now available through the Dell website for the suggested retail price of $349 and $399, respectively.
