Corsair achieves fastest-ever DDR3 frequency of 2462MHz

Corsair Memory has announced its engineers have set a new record for the highest DDR3 memory frequency. The engineers used the company’s Dominator memory chips and an Intel X48-based system to achieve the overclock.

The final overclock was 2462MHz with 9-9-9-24 timings, with 19.696GB/s of bandwidth in single-channel mode. A single 1GB Dominator module was used in conjunction with an ASUS P5E3 Premium motherboard.
