CompuTex 2008 has shown us quite a few notebooks, many of which are not even released. In this last roundup, we have four new AMD Puma platform notebooks from HP, Toshiba, and Acer. Details were limited since they are not officially released notebooks, but this does give us a good glimpse of what should be out in the coming weeks or months.

Above you can see matte black AMD Puma-based notebook that was on display at Computex, the HP 6535us. It resembles a Compaq v6500 from HP’s current lineup at first glance, but a closer look reveals a thinner design and updated styling cues.

Acer had a Puma-based notebook on display as well, the TravelMate 5530. It does not have any radical design changes from what you will find on the market today from the Acer TravelMate series.

On the left side the TravelMate 5530 has an ExpressCard slot two USB ports, HDMI, Ethernet, VGA-out, and a docking connector.

Again, no official announcements were made behind these notebooks we ran into on the show floor, but you can expect product release announcements to start flowing soon.  For instance, rumor has it HP will be unleashing a hailstorm of notebooks this week…
