Compaq Mini Netbook Available with Verizon 4G Soon

Verizon Wireless announced that the Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr netbook will be available with Verizon’s 4G LTE network on Aug. 4. The netbook with built-in 4G service will be available online through Verizon. Verizon 4G offers download speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps for a monthly rate depending on the data allowance package that is purchased.

The Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr has a 10.1-inch WSVGA anti-glare display with a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600. The system is equipped with an Intel Atom N455 processor at 1.66 GHz and operates on a 32-bit version of Windows 7 Home Starter.

The netbook will be available starting on Aug. 4 on Verizon’s website for $500. Users can choose from the 2 GB monthly plan for $30, the 5 GB plan for $50, or the 10 GB plan for $80.
