Following on the heels of the new Pixma and imageCLASS announcements in July, Canon added two more photo all-in-one printers to their Pixma lineup early this morning.

The Pixma MG8220 and the Pixma MG6220 will be replacing the popular MG8120 and MG6120 announced last fall but will offer many of the same features such as the Intelligent Touch System and a few new ones including Canon’s Cloud Link.

With Cloud Link, users can wirelessly print from photos and images from Canon Gateway and Picasa accounts as well as select documents and attachments from Google Docs and Gmail using a software application found on the MG6220 and MG8220’s control panel.

The Intelligent Touch System was introduced last fall and is a first for the MG6220 AIO.  The Intelligent Touch control panel with backlit touch sensitive buttons operates through electric currents as opposed to the push of a finger. For former and current Canon users, the Easy Scroll Wheel has been adopted into a touch sensitive scroll wheel.

The flagship Canon PIXMA MG8220 Wireless Photo AIO will offer print, scan and copy capabilities as well as print speeds up to 12.5 ipm in black and 9.3 ipm in color, a print resolution up to 9600 x 2400 dpi, 3.5-inch LCD with Intelligent Touch, automatic duplexing, two way paper feeding, a film adapter unit and wireless connectivity.

The Canon Pixma MG6220 is a slight step down in features and price with a smaller LCD (3.0-inch) and no film adapter unit for $100 less than the MG8220.

The Canon Pixma MG8220 Wireless Photo AIO and the Canon PIXMA MG6220 Wireless Photo AIO will be available through Canon and authorized retailers this fall for the suggested price of $299.99 and $199.99, respectively.
