Canon U.S.A introduced two new imagePROGRAF large format printers to the award-winning line targeted at graphic arts, professional photography and production markets.

Both new models – the 44-inch imagePROGRAF iPF8300S and the 24-inch imagePROGRAF iPF6300S – will feature an 8-color LUCIA EX pigment ink set and the high density PF-05 print head with Canon’s FINE technology that allows for 2,560 nozzles per color. The new printers will also feature a built-in color calibration function compensating for age and environmental color variations.

The new S series printers also offer fast and economy print modes with an ink reduction up to 50 percent compared to default print modes. The iPF8300S can deliver a B0-sized (39.37 x 55.67 inches) product in approximately 80 seconds and the iPF6300S can print an A1-sized (23.39 x 33.11 inches) image in approximately 35 seconds.

They will also feature an increased hard drive capacity up to 160GB and a built-in print plug-in for both Adobe Photoshop and Digital Photo Professional.

The new models will be showcased at the Wedding & Portrait Photographer International Convention in Les Vegas, February 21-23. The 44-inch Canon imagePROGRAF iPF8300S and the 24-inch Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6300S will be available in April for the suggested retail price of $4,995 and $2,995, respectively.
