Along with the inkjet announcement, Canon also introduced seven new imageCLASS laser printers targeted at the small office, home office (SOHO) market this morning.

The new imageCLASS printers feature something for everyone with two color multifunction printers, four monochrome multifunction printers and one color single function printer. Canon also added wireless connectivity to four of the printers, a first for the imageCLASS lineup.

The imageCLASS MF8380Cdw and the imageCLASS MF8080Cw, replacing the MF8350Cdn and the MF8050Cn, are two of the four new devices that offer built-in wireless connectivity along with print, scan, copy and fax functionality.

Other new features include: an updated control panel with One-Touch Button support, direct printing from a USB flash drive. The MF8080Cw offers print speeds up to 12 ppm in black and 8 ppm in color while the MF8380Cdw offers print speeds up to 21 ppm in both.

The imageCLASS MF8080Cw and the imageCLASS MF8380Cdw are expected to be released in September for the suggested retail price of $449 and $599, respectively.

The imageCLASS LBP7660Cdn single function printer will be replacing the imageCLASS LBP7200Cdn, a first for Canon in the space. The second generation LBP7660Cdn offers a new compact design, print speeds up 21 ppm in black and color, a 250-sheet paper cassette, 50-sheet ADF, automatic duplexing and built-in networking.

The imageCLASS LBP7660Cdn is set to be released in October for the suggested retail price of $499, nearly $200 off the first generation LBP7200Cdn.

Canon also introduced four new monochrome multifunction printers: the imageCLASS MF3010, imageCLASS MF4570dw, imageCLASS MF5960dn and imageCLASS MF5950dw.

The entry level imageCLASS MF3010 features an ultra-compact design with print, scan and copy functionality built-in. It also offers print speeds up to 19 ppm, 150-sheet paper cassette, Canon’s single cartridge system (toner, drum and waste in one product) and Energy Star compliance.

The imageCLASS MF3010 will be available in August for the suggested retail price of $149.

The imageCLASS MF4570dw is the next step up and is one of the four new devices featuring built-in wireless connectivity. This 4-in-1 device (print, scan, copy and fax) offers print speeds up to 26 ppm, automatic duplexing, 250-sheet front-loading paper tray, 35-sheet ADF and Energy Star compliance.

The imageCLASS MF4570dw will be available in September for the suggested retail price of $299.

The imageCLASS MF5960dn and MF5950dw are both 4-in-1 devices (print, scan, copy and fax) featuring print speeds up to 35 ppm, automatic duplexing, scan-to offerings, direct USB print, 250-sheet paper tray with a 50-sheet multi-purpose tray, 50-sheet ADF and Energy Star compliance.

The imageCLASS MF5960dn will also add printer language support (PCL/PS) while the imageCLASS MF5950dw is the fourth device offering wireless connectivity.
