The Canon imageFormula P-208, a compact personal document scanner designed for personal or business use, is the latest addition to the Scan-tini family and Canon U.S.A. product line introduced today in Las Vegas.
The device features scan speeds of up to 9 pages per minute (ppm) with the ability to scan both sides of a document at the same time. It also features help to improve the legibility for maximum image quality as well as the quality of scanned photographs. A built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) helps convert paper-based documents into digital information.
The imageFormula P-208 handles multiple document types including thick or thin documents and embossed cards.
Ease of use features include a plug and scan set up that eliminates the need to install drivers or applications. The device comes bundled with Canon CaptureOnTouch software that lets users scan directly to cloud applications such as Evernote and Google Docs.
An optional WU10 Wireless Adapter and Battery Pack is available enabling the device to work wirelessly in Windows and Mac environments. Users looking for functionality with mobile devices such as iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Android devices can download a free Canon CaptureOnTouch Mobile app.
The ultra-portable device is the latest addition to Canon?s Scan-tini product line up that includes the P-150 and P-215 all designed for ease of use and portability.
The imageFormula P-208 has an estimated retail price of $229 and is scheduled to be released later this month.
