Printing reports and forms from is about to get easier. Canon Information and Imaging Solutions Inc. announced the introduction of Forms and Print Services for Salesforce, a new cloud-based application.

The new application, available on the AppExchange in January 2012, eliminates the need for any print drivers, according to the company. The Forms and Print Services application will be offered both individually and as a bundled monthly package subscription, payable on an annual basis.

The solution will consist of two key components: Forms Service will be utilized to design visually impactful, sophisticated form templates capable of dynamically presenting the underlying Salesforce data. Print Services will allow users to print the resulting templates, such as sales reports, cost estimates, inventory reports, or account profiles, directly to a designated Canon imageRunner Advance multifunction printer or as a PDF to any multifunction or laser printer.

The Forms and Print Services for Salesforce application is a result of integration between Salesforce and the Canon Business Imaging Online cloud service to provide users access to the forms and print functions through a single button operation by simply logging into their Salesforce account.

Ideal for mobile users, print jobs can be easily accessed from the cloud or directly from a panel of a Canon imageRunner Advance MFP.
