Canon announced earlier this morning their plan to add two new MFPs to their imageCLASS lineup: the imageCLASS MF5850dn and the imageCLASS MF5880dn monochrome laser multifunction printers.
Great for small businesses and workgroups with IT professionals on hand, the new imageCLASS MFPs allow advance levels of management and controls over the devices with options such as creating individual usernames and passwords for each employee to track their output and set limits on print and copy quantity.
Both models include USB 2.0 or 10/100 Base T Ethernet connectivity along with an embedded web server when set up over a network. The new imageCLASS MF5800 series also features print speeds up to 30 ppm, a front side USB port, all-mode auto duplexing, 250-sheet cassette standard, 50-sheet multipurpose tray, and Canon’s Single Cartridge System.
In addition, the flagship MF5880dn offers advanced scan-to and fax forwarding features as well as PCL support.
The imageCLASS MF5850dn and imageCLASS MF5880dn will be available for the estimated retail value of $995 and $1195, respectively.
