Canon introduced four new imageCLASS multifunction laser printers at the Canon EXPO 2010 New York opening press conference this morning.
The imageCLASS MF9280Cdn and the MF9220Cdn color laser multifunction printers and the imageCLASS MF4570dn and D420 monochrome laser multifunction printers are targeted at both small businesses and home offices with a small footprint and cost efficient features.
Starting with the two new color laser devices, the imageCLASS MF9200 series offers users the ability to print, copy, fax and scan in color while offering administrators a way to monitor print output with the User ID Management control.
Both MFPS also feature print speeds up to 22 pages per minute in both black and color, a 50-sheet auto document feeder, a 250-sheet paper cassette with a 100-sheet multipurpose tray, automatic duplexing and a 3.5 inch color display with Canon’s Easy Scroll Wheel for user-friendly navigation.
The MF9280Cdn also offers PCL5c printing and PostScript 3 Emulation and a front side USB port. There is also the option for a 500-sheet paper cassette pedestal for offices with a heavy print volume.
The imageCLASS MF4570dn is a monochrome multifunction laser printer with print, scan, copy and fax capability featuring print and copy speeds up to 26 ppm with a first print time as fast as six seconds, a 250-sheet paper cassette, an ADF, a five-line LCD control panel and built-in networking.
The imageCLASS D420 is designed for the SOHO market, with print and copy speeds up to 23 ppm, a 250-sheet front loading paper cassette, a single-sheet multipurpose tray and a first print time as fast as nine seconds. The imageCLASS D420 can save users money with an energy saving mode that pulls in only 3 W of energy in sleep mode.
All four new imageCLASS models are Energy Star qualified and RoHS compliant. The imageCLASS MF9280Cdn and MF9220Cdn will be available in November through Canon directly or authorized retailers for the estimated retail price of $2,295 and $1,495, respectively.
