Canon adds three printers to Pixma lineup

Canon USA announced two new Pixma Photo All-in-One printers and a Pixma Business printer with PgR technology earlier this morning in New York City.

The two new Canon PIXMA Photo printers – the Pixma MP990 and the Pixma MP640 – feature built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, ChromaLife 100+ ink system, a maximum resolution of 9600 x 2400 dpi, the Auto Photo Fix II feature and Auto Scan mode.  They also have improved paper handling features including automatic duplexing and a two-way paper feed.

Both the new Pixma Photo printers will feature Canon’s new iPhone application for wireless printing directly from the iPhone.

The Pixma MP990 can print a 4×6 photo in approximately 21 seconds and offers a 3.8 inch LCD, an integrated easy scroll wheel and the ability to scan film and slides for an estimated retail price of $299.99.

The Pixma MP640 can print a 4×6 photo in as fast as 20 seconds and offers a 3.0 inch LCD for an estimated retail price of $219.99.

The Canon Pixma iX7000 is the latest addtion to the business focused end of the Pixma line. The Pixma iX7000 offers a new three-way paper feed, built-in Ethernet, automatic duplexing and extra large paper cassette.  It also features ISO print speeds up to 10.2 ipm in black and white and 8.1 ipm for color. 

The Canon PIXMA iX7000 will be available for an estimated retail price for $399.99.
