Canon U.S.A., Inc. has added three new mobile printing and scanning apps for Apple’s iPhone, iPad and for Blackberry smartphones.
The Canon Direct Print and Scan for Mobile applications for iPhone, iPad and Blackberry, provides users with a mobile print and scan solution that integrates their device with Canon imageRunner and imageRunner Advance systems.
All the mobile apps allow users to print on the go and manage their print needs anywhere, anytime.
The Canon Direct Print and Scan for Mobile application for iPhone and iPad enables communication between a Canon multifunction product (MFP) and the iOS device and from the Canon MFP to the iOS device.
The Canon Direct Print and Scan for Mobile application for Blackberry smartphones is a combination of two separate applications, according to the company: there’s a multifunction embedded application platform (MEAP) that runs on Canon’s imageRunner MFP, and a mobile client application that resides on the Blackberry smartphone.
The app provides two way print and scan communication to and from the devices. This is a server-less and driverless solution for on-the-go users.
Users can download all the new apps for free. Blackberry users can download the Canon Direct Print and Scan app from BlackBerry App World and Apple iPhone and iPad users can download the Canon Direct Print and Scan app from Apple’s iTunes store.
