Brother introduced a new affordable all-in-one series of inkjets featuring four models targeted at the small office, home office (SOHO) market.
All four new models – MFC-J280w, MFC-J430w, MFC- J625dw and MFC-J825dw – ranging in price from $99 – $149 while still offering high end features including four devices in one compact unit, built-in wireless connectivity, front loading four ink cartridge system and mobile device print functionality.
The entry level MFC-J280w offers print, scan copy and fax functionality along with print speeds up to 33 ppm in black and 26 ppm in color, 100-sheet paper tray and 1.9-inch color touchscreen with touch panel controls.
The MFC-J430w features all of the above while adding a 20-sheet ADF and subtracting the touchscreen capability. Both the MFC-J430w and the MFC-J280w are listed at $99.99.
The MFC-J625dw also offers the same device functionality but, for $30 more, the MFC-J625dw features faster print speeds up to 35 ppm in black and 27 ppm in color, automatic duplexing, 20-sheet bypass tray and a built-in card reader.
At $149.99, the flagship MFC-J825dw is a 4-in-1 device with print, scan, copy and fax capability along with print speeds up to 35 ppm in black and 27 ppm in color, automatic duplexing, CD/DVD/Blu-ray printing, web-connected applications, a 3.3-inch color touchscreen and a built-in memory card reader.
The MFC-J825dw will be available through Brother and authorized vendors starting in September 2011 while the rest of the lineup will be available in October 2011.
