ASUS Updates Eee PC netbooks, UX21 Ultrabook and Eee Pad Transformer

Just when you thought there couldn’t be any more thin and light laptops on the market ASUS unveils an all new range of Eee PC netbooks, updates to the UX21 ultrabook and a new 1080p Eee Pad Transformer. Keep reading to see the full specs and photos.

ASUS Eee PC Flare 1025C
This 10.1-inch Atom-based netbook might only have the specs to handle basic entertainment, light productivity and 720p media playback, but the MSRP of $299 should generate plenty of sales when the little laptop goes on sale in February in North America.

Virtually identical to the 1025C listed above, this 10.1-inch netbook features a faster Intel Atom processor and one USB 3.0 port for faster data transfers. It also comes with a higher price tag of $319 and will also be available in North American stores in February.

ASUS Eee PC 1225B
This 12.1-inch netbook (or “Entry Level UltraPortable” as ASUS calles it) uses the AMD E-450 dual core processor to deliver overall performance and graphics capabilities that exceed the performance of netbooks with the Intel Atom processor. The Eee PC 1225B is priced at $399 and will also be available in February in North America.

ASUS Eee PC X101CH
The 10.1-inch X101CH is an entry level netbook was designed for basic entertainment and light productivity (checking email, updating Facebook, typing a Microsoft Word document). It features the same thin and light chassis and Chiclet-style keyboard common to Eee PC netbooks. The big difference here is that the X101CH only comes with a 3-cell battery and is priced at $269 with availability in February.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF700T
This 10.1-inch Android Tablet is designed for entertainment, media, gaming and basic productivity. The big item of note is that the thin and light chassis packs a true 1080P display (1920×1200 resolution screen). Combined with the optional keyboard and touchpad dock this becomes a legitimate Android notebook.

ASUS Zenbook UX21 Update
Last, but certainly not least, the UX21 series of ultrabooks remains the same except for the two new colors, Rose Gold and Hot Pink. That, and UX-series ultrabooks are now shipping with the Elan Touchpad plus updated drivers that improve resume and standby times.
