Asus likes to be first, and this week’s CES 2016 offered further proof with the company’s announcement of the MB169C+, a Full HD IPS 15.6-inch portable monitor that employs a single USB Type-C connection for simultaneous powering and video transmission. It also weighs only 800 grams (1.7 pounds) and bears a thin profile of 8.5mm.

The Designo MX series features Asus SonicMaster audio and comes with dual 8-watt speakers boosted by ICEpower technology. The monitor’s base also doubles as a wireless charging pad for Qi-enabled mobile devices.

If monitors aren’t your thing, Asus has a new line of palm-sized USB projectors for mobile devices: the ZenBeam E1Z and ZenBeam E1. The E1Z is compatible with Android or Windows mobile devices. The E1 model comes equipped with HDMI/MHL input ports that provide a wide range of multi-device functionality. Both provide 150-lumen output, DLP technology and project WVGA (854×480) resolution from as close as 22 inches to as far as 80 inches. A built-in rechargeable battery enables projection without the need for external power and doubles as a 6000mAh charger for mobile devices.

Asus has yet to announce prices or release dates.
