The HDAV1.3 has HDMI 1.3a compatibility and a Splendid HD video processor. ASUS says the video processor improves video playback. The card has the following features and specifications:

  • PAPS/AACS content protection
  • Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio support
  • 7.1-channel, 24-bit/192kHz LPCM audio through HDMI
  • AV200 audio processor

The Xonar HDAV1.3 does not have a new audio processor; it uses the same one found in the Xonar D2X.

Deluxe versions of the card will come with a daughter board that has more analog outputs.

There is no pricing information available on the HDAV1.3 at the moment, however it is expected to become available in mid-July.
