ASUS and Gigabyte ready for Intel P45 launch

ASUS and Gigabyte have already unveiled new motherboards based on the Intel P45 chipset, which is expected to be announced at Computex 2008.

Gigabyte did extremely well with sales of motherboards featuring Intel 965/P35 chipsets. The competition is expected to heat up with the P45 boards because the chipset will have a long product life cycle of 18 – 24 months. Motherboard demand may go up this summer due to the P45’s introduction.
