Apple Discontinues Printer Rebates

New Apple Mac purchases that offer a $100 rebate appear to be a thing of the past. The program, that’s been in effect since at least 2004, ended on January 17th, according to Apple’s website.

For buyers of any Mac computer and a qualifying printer, a printer rebate of $100 is valid through January 16, 2012. The web page with details about the vendor’s printer rebate offer can’t be found.

According MacRumors, Apple staff members received a notice explaining that the printer rebate program, which was typically offered as a three-month program and renewed upon expiration, is done.

 

There are 20 plus printers available, for purchase, sans rebate, on the online Apple Store, including products from Epson, HP, Lexmark, and Samsung, almost with free shipping.
