If you’re a fan of Apple’s current Cinema Display monitors (that is, the 24-inch and 30-inch units), it’d be wise to snap one up soon.  Jason Snell, editor of Apple-specific magazine Macworld, is reporting that Apple execs have pulled the plug.

As mentioned earlier, the new 27-inch model comes in at a resolution of 2560×1440; this compares to the 24-inch Cinema Display at 1920×1200 and the 30-inch monitor at 2560×1600. The new 27-inch model certainly comes in with a significantly-higher bang-for-your-buck number: it sells for $999, while the 24-inch ACD sells for $799 and the 30-inch ACD sells for a whopping $1,799.
