Earlier today at CES in Las Vegas, high-end gaming PC makers Alienware unveiled a new series of bags for use with its gaming laptop products. Working closely with Mobile Edge, Alienware set out to create laptop cases that were “feature-rich, thought provoking, and just plain cool,” according to Mobile Edge President and CEO G. David Cartwright. The series includes a backpack, messenger bag, slim carrying case, briefcase and neoprene sleeve specifically designed to safely carry the new Alienware 14, Alienware 17 and Alienware 18 laptops.
In terms of style, the messenger bag’s back could pass for an Alienware computer at first glance, while the angled, high-density nylon of the backpack’s briefcases and sleeves evoke images of a giant black scarab or stealth bomber. Besides being emblazoned with their alien head logo and name, the Vindicator bags all feature Alienware-engraved zippers as well.
The backpacks, messenger bag and briefcases also come with a pouch for storing cables and power adapters to prevent nicks and scratches on the laptops themselves. The briefcases feature blue interior zippers and pocket edges for holding items such as SD cards and USB flash drives, which should be clearly visible when searching in the bag for such items. The backpacks feature three large sections, as well as numerous smaller compartments for accessories and a hidden mesh water bottle holder on the side. The Vindicator bags feature non-slip comfort shoulder straps and reinforced handles, along with weather-resistant material and protective padding for the laptops.
