    Color me unimpressed.

I bought a Sager NP8170 in December 2011 specced as:
    17.3″ Full HD LED-Backlit Display with Super Glossy Surface (1920 x 1080)
AMD Radeon HD 6990M GPU with 2GB GDDR5 Video Memory
    2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2760QM Processor ( 6MB L3 Cache, 2.40GHz)
    16GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz – 4 X 4GB
    Primary 500GB 7200rpm SATA 300 Hard Drive
2nd 500GB 7200rpm SATA 300 Secondary Hard Drive in RAID configuration
with a wifi upgrade, USB TV-Tuner, and 2nd power cable for $2,109 total

I have owned an Alienware laptop in the past, so I don’t mean to bash. The graphics are updated in this machine, but I don’t see any other magic happening. That said, my Sager is still kicking strongly 2.5 years later, and more powerful than many laptops being made today.
