ADATA Releases Firmware Update for SSDs

ADATAToday, ADATA Technology announced the release of a Firmware update for its Solid State Drives (SSDs) equipped with SandForce 220series controllers. The update is available for the SX910, SX900, SP800, S511, S510, and S396 models. The Firmware update resolves TRIM along with other issues.

How to Install the Update

Consumers who wish to update their SSD Firmware can access the update from ADATA’s website. From there users can download the compressed Firmware 5.0.7a file and extract it. Once the file is downloaded users should download and run the file ADATA_FieldUPdate.exe as administrator.


The upgrade installer is supported on Windows 8/7/Vista/XP, Fedora Core 12 (64-bit), Fedora Core 14 (32-bit only). Users should also note that the upgrade is not supported on Mac OS.

The update is available to consumers now and ADATA highly recommends that applicable consumers update to the latest Firmware version.
