On Thursday Acer took the wraps off its new 21.5-inch all-in-one portable desktop, the Acer Aspire Z3-600. The Windows 8 desktop will feature a unique flexible hinge design that allows the device to be transported with ease along short distances. Acer plans to make the Aspire Z3-600 available for purchase sometime later this month.
To help further bolster its portable appeal, the Acer Aspire Z3-600 will house a built-in battery that offers upwards of 2.5 hours of battery life. The flexible hinge design will also afford the Windows 8 all-in-one even more versatility with the ability to tilt the screen a full 90 degrees and also lay flat directly on the stand itself to act more like a stationary tablet.
The device will offer a 21.5-inch Full 1080p display with flexible viewing angles, which according to Acer allow the device to hold its color contrast at a full 170 degrees. The Acer Aspire Z3-600 will also equip an Intel Pentium J2580 quad-core processor, with 4GB of DDR3, Intel HD Graphics and up to 750GB of HDD storage. Finally the Acer Aspire Z3-600 will afford solid connectivity with an HDMI input cable, a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports and a HDMI with MHL combo port for charging smartphones.
The Acer Aspire Z3-600 will be available from select retailers later this month with a suggested retail price starting at $780.
