Acer_Aspire_M5_853PAcer announced the expansion of its Aspire M5 series on Tuesday with the addition of the M5-583P -6428. The new M5 notebook looks to expand on many of the traditional features offered in the M5 line with the inclusion of a fourth generation “Haswell” Intel Core i5 processor, Intel Wireless Display technology (WiDi), and a new sound system housing four speakers with Acer Purified Voice.

With an impressively thin design (under one inch thick) the M5 sports new metal chassis complete with clean modern lines. The device also features a “soft touch” finish on the bottom and top portions of the chassis making it easy to grip a carry. The notebook also houses a 15.6-inch HD display with 10-point multi-touch display.

In addition to the new design, the M5 offers strong performance with the addition of its Intel i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD. The device also looks to further improve on its battery life with a PowerSmart long-life 4-cell Lithium Polymer battery (3,560 mAh); which Acer notes offers up to 6.5 hours of active battery life, and the PowerSmart battery can last 1,000 cycles.

The Acer Aspire M5-583P is available now exclusively across Best Buy US retailers. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $700.
