A company called Boston Power is showing off a battery at the Demo 2007 show today in Palm Desert California that they claim can charge to 80% in 30 minutes, be charged 1,000 times without reduction in storage capacity and is safe from the exploding issues seen this year in other Li-Ion batteries.

Sony VAIO AR 17" Screen Notebook Available in Canada for Pre-Order

It looks like Sony is going to be releasing a new media-centric notebook soon, the VAIO AR series laptop has shown up on a Canadian website for pre-order. The VAIO AR190 has a Blu-Ray optical drive, Core Duo processor, 17" widescreen, nVidia Go 7600 card, built-in TV tuner and 200GB of storage.

Toshiba Announces Availability of the Portege M205 Tablet PC

Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD) today announced retail availability of the Portege(R) M205 tablet PC notebook with improved wireless connectivity using Wi-Fi (802.11g) and increased storage capacity offering a standard 60GB hard disk drive. These are two new features added to the original Portege M205 announced in November 2003.

Toshiba Introduces new Optical Drives for Notebooks

Toshiba on Tuesday announced new optical drives for mobile computers and portable projectors with updated features. The company's storage device division, based in Irvine, Calif., said its new optical disk drives will provide higher media recording speeds for mobile computers.
