HP will be releasing the configurable Pavilion dv2600 laptop this week with the same Verve design as that seen on the Best Buy dv2550se laptop sold earlier in the summer.
HP today announced three new notebooks to its Compaq business lineup. The Compaq 6520s, Compaq 6720s and Compaq 6820s will all be small business focused notebooks and offer Intel processors. All three notebooks share the same basic design of having a silver finish, a drop hinge panel and a scooped out keyboard for a "desktop" like experience.
HP today announced the availability of SSD in their professional and mobile workstation series notebooks. The HP Compaq 2710p, HP Compaq 2510p, HP Compaq 6910p and HP Compaq 8000 series notebooks will all have the option of configuring a 64GB SSD.
Today HP released a refresh to the HP and Compaq consumer notebook lines on models equipped with AMD processors. The new models include the HP Pavilion dv9500z and dv6500z, as well as the Compaq Presario v6500z.
If you thought your custom notebook might ship in time for the first day of school, think again. Even as Dell, HP, and other manufactures struggle to keep up with customer demand a series of notebook component shortages mean customers will have to wait even longer than expected to receive those new laptops. Dell recently released the Inspiron 1520 notebook, a 15.4" mainstream system with the new Intel Santa Rosa platform. HP beat Dell to the punch by releasing the Pavilion dv6500t Santa Rosa based notebook in mid-May. So does the best come to those who waited for Dell or did HP win in regards to both time to market and a superior product?
