HP Wins Multimillion-Dollar Contract For Michigan Schools

Gone are the days of desktop computers in the classroom computer labs, notebooks are being deployed in schools today. Hewlett Packard beat out several other computer makers, including Apple Computer, Dell and Gateway, for a contract to supply Michigan students with Michigan students with HP Compaq Business notebook nx9010 models, wireless networking and Microsoft Office.

Apple Releases Improved iBook Portable Computer

Apple Computer on Wednesday turned up the performance of its iBook portable computers by adding the PowerPC G4 processor and, its OS X version 10.3 operating system, faster memory and improved graphics technology from ATI. In addition, every iBook comes standard with a CD Burner and at least 256MB of RAM.
