To help our readers with their purchasing decisions, the staff has put together a top ten list of the most viewed printers on our site for the month of August 2010.  They aren’t necessarily the best or most popular printers but they are the printers that you, the visitors of our site, are searching and viewing.

Canon Pixma MP560

2. Canon Pixma MP560 – (previously #2) – The Pixma MP560, successor to the Pixma MP620, is one of the most compact Canon inkjets to feature both Wi-Fi as well as automatic duplexing. The MP560 was also the first Pixma to print directly from a USB Flash drive. HP Photosmart C4780

3. HP Photosmart C4780 (previously #3) – The C4780 could be a great companion for any student.  It’s wireless, compact and good-looking; it is also functional and relatively cheap.  Yes, the print speeds were slower than advertised and the text could have been sharper but the fact that C4780 will keep printing even after a cartridge expires is a huge plus for any student on a deadline. HP Photosmart C4780 review  

Canon Pixma iP4820 4. Canon Pixma iP4820 (new to the list) – The brand new Canon Pixma iP4820 – announced in July – is a compact single function photo printer with print resolution up to 9600 x 2400 dpi, a five cartridge ink system, auto duplexing, Canon’s Full HD Movie Print, 2-way paper feeding, and a front side PictBridge/USB port. Epson WorkForce 520

5.  Epson WorkForce 520 (new to the list) – The Epson WorkForce 520 is advertised to be the fastest all-in-one (AIO) printer in its class (priced at $199 or less) but it also features a print resolution up to 5760 x 1440 optimized dpi, 30-page ADF, 100-sheet rear loading tray, built-in networking, and is Energy Star qualified and RoHS compliant. Brother MFC-495cw

6. Brother MFC-495cw (previously #4) – The MFC-495cw is a 4-in-1 device (print, scan, copy, Super G3 fax) with a 15 sheet ADF, a 3.3 inch adjustable LCD, built-in memory card reader with USB, front loading four ink system, and Wi-Fi.  Brother MFC-495cw review

7.  Canon Pixma Pro9000 Mark II (previously #5) – Like the Pixma Pro9500 Mark II, the Pixma Pro9000 Mark II is a second generation photo printer.  It features eight individual ink tanks, two paper feeding options, and the new Ambient Light Correction feature for half the price of the Pixma Pro9500 Mark II.
