Printer Tip No. 9

It’s Black and White

If color printing is considered flashy and exciting, then monochrome printing is the reliable, if not slightly boring, option. But I’m here to tell you today that you should consider going monochrome.

First reason: You’ll save money. Monochrome laser-class printers are cheaper when considering both the initial price tag and over the long run. Black toner is always priced lower than its color counterparts and usually offers a higher print yield.

Second reason: You’ll streamline your print operation. You’ll find much faster print speeds, as well as a better range of features with a monochrome printer or all-in-one in the same price range as its color counterpart.

Third reason: You don’t really need color. Unless you work in a field where glossy color images are king – think Real Estate, etc. – you can probably get by without using color in the day to day business operations. Yes, it adds a little spice to a text document to throw in a bit of color but at the end of the day, it probably doesn’t make a huge difference.
