Polaroid at CES 2010

We visited the Polaroid booth located in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center on Friday since Lady Gaga’s appearance on Thursday made it all but impossible to get around the booth and see the new products first hand.

Polaroid had a decent sized booth done in mostly white with images taken and printed with Polaroid products along with displays of new and current products.  Polaroid announced on Wednesday the launch of the PIC 1000, an updated version of the classic Polaroid camera so popular in the past, as well as the Polaroid 3″x4″ Instant Digital Camera with built-in printer and the Polaroid 3″x4″ Instant Mobile printer.

Polaroid had both the PIC 1000 and the 3″x4″ Instant Mobile printer on display but no model of the 3″x4″ Instant Digital Camera was on display in Vegas.

One of the coolest displays in the Polaroid booth was the mosaic like posters of famous celebrities including: Lady Gaga, George Clooney and Johnny Depp among others.  The artist, Maurizio Galimberti, had taken hundreds of images with a Polaroid classic and then pieced them together into one large image displayed in the booth.
