The Selphy CP800 isn’t as cutesy as the Selphy ES40 or the Selphy CP790 but it is an ultra compact printer measuring in at approximately 5 x 2 x 7 inches and weighing in at two pounds. Plus, customers can choose between the subtle, stylish black (shown below) and the trendy white.

Like most compact single function printers, the Selphy CP800 has a fairly basic design with the 2.5-inch tilt LCD and simple control panel centered on the top. Users can navigate and edit photos found on a memory card or access the unique photo finishers the CP800 offers including Image Shuffle which turns photos into artistic collages.

The built-in memory card reader can be found on the front of the CP800 above the paper tray door. The Selphy CP800 is compatible with the following media: SD, SDHC, SDXC, MultiMediaCard, MMCplus Card, HC MMCplus Card, CompactFlash, Microdrive, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick PRO Duo.

Flip open the paper tray door to insert the detachable postcard tray. The included postcard tray can hold up to 36 sheets of 4×6 photo paper and doubles as an output tray. Interested in printing on card sized paper or printing labels? Canon offers an optional card sized paper tray for $13.00.

The mess free ribbon cartridge is accessed on the right hand side of the CP800. Canon sells the cartridges and paper in combo packages of 36 prints or 108 prints.

Remove the back panel to insert the optional battery allowing customers to print lab quality photos anywhere including outdoors.

The PictBridge port for printing from digital cameras and USB flash drives is found on the left side of the CP800 along with the USB port for connecting the printer to a computer.

The Canon Selphy CP800 compact photo printer is available now through the Canon website for the estimated retail price of $99.99.

Supplies and accessories can also be purchased through Canon directly. A 36-sheet combo pack is $14.99 while the 108-sheet combo pack is $34.99. The optional battery is $79.99 and the optional card sized paper tray is $13.

Canon offers a 1-year limited warranty with the Selphy CP800.
