BUILD AND DESIGN
The Brother MFC-J6710dw has a fairly decent sized footprint with the approximate dimensions of 21 x 19 x 13 inches (when not in use), but it’s not as bad when you consider the MFC-J6710dw prints, copies , scans and faxes documents and photos up to 11 x 17 inches.
Like most all-in-ones we come across, we’ll start at the top with the 35-sheet automatic document feeder that can adjust to media as small as 6 x 6 inches and as large as 11.7 x 17 inches, allowing users hands-free copying and faxing of large print jobs.
Lift the scanner lid to reveal the 48-bit flatbed scanner with an optical scan resolution up to 2400 x 2400 dpi and a maximum scan size of 11.7 x 17 inches. The MFC-J6710dw provides several scan-to options including: email, FTP, media card, USB flash drive, etc.
The control panel runs the entire length of the MFC-J6710dw and is centered on the adjustable 3.3-inch widescreen LCD along with four device quick keys, fax speed dials, a four directional navigation and alpha-numerical key pad.
Beneath the control panel, you’ll find the built-in memory card reader and front side USB port. The MFC-J6710dw is compatible with Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro Duo, SD, SDHC, Multimedia Card and Multimedia Card Plus.
The standard paper capacity is 501 sheets for the MFC-J6710dw in thanks to dual 250-sheet paper cassettes located on the front of the printer and a single sheet multi-purpose feeder found on the back of the printer.
To the right of the dual paper cassettes, users will find the easy to access four cartridge ink system. The MFC-J6710dw comes with a set of Innobella High Yield XL series inks (CMYK), but Brother also offers the Innobella Super High Yield XXL series ink cartridges.
All connections can be found on the left side of the MFC-J6710dw including the attached power cord.
