Designed specifically for professionals in engineering, CAD, architecture, design, animation, film, education, government and healthcare, the HP ZBooks have been engineered, tested and certified for professional applications.
With the introduction of the HP ZBook series, HP has reinvented its family of mobile workstations and combined it with the HP Z family of desktop workstation solutions. Perhaps most importantly, the old, boxy appearance of the HP EliteBook workstations is gone. The new HP ZBook Mobile Workstations now feature a completely new thinner and lighter industrial design. As previously mentioned, this includes the world's first workstation Ultrabook - the HP ZBook 14 - as well as the HP ZBook 15 and ZBook 17.
Designed for mission-critical applications and professionals that demand mobility, the new HP ZBook Mobile Workstations feature your choice of either 4th Generation Intel Haswell dual-core or quad-core processors and next-generation discrete graphics from NVIDIA and AMD, including the latest Keplar-based professional graphics from NVIDIA.
Serious laptop users and IT professionals will appreciate that all three of the new HP ZBook Mobile Workstations feature the same innovative tool-free chassis for easy upgrades and serviceability that was first seen in the HP EliteBooks. Speaking of which, businesses that currently use HP docking stations can rest easy since the ZBooks are backward-compatible with the EliteBook docking stations.
If the touch-friendly interface of Windows 8 is important to you then you'll be pleased to know the HP ZBook 14 also comes with the option for a touch-enabled display panel. The HP ZBook 15 will include an option for a super-high-resolution QHD+ 3,200 x 1,800 display providing greater detail in images for customers that require extreme image accuracy. Both the HP ZBook 15 and 17 feature a Thunderbolt port, as well as an optional DreamColor Display panel that provides accurate and consistent color from the display to print and the big screen.
Pricing and availability
The HP ZBook 15 and ZBook 17 mobile workstations are available worldwide today and the HP ZBook 14 is planned to be available in late October. Initial shipments of the ZenBook 15 and 17 with Quad-core processors will have a starting price of $1,899. Dual-core configurations and the ZBook 14 prices will be available at a later date.
