Weighing in at just 152 grams (5.4 ounces), the HV620 sports a glossy black housing and a bright blue LED that lights up when data is being read from or written to the disk. A raised lip on the edge of the drive protects glossy plastic from scratching when the drive is laid flat. The compact profile and simple lines of the HV620 make it easy to carry with you even if the design isn't that different from other external hard drives on the market.
The DashDrive HV620 will be available initially in capacities of 500GB ($59.99) and 1TB ($79.99). A 750GB model ($69.99) will be available at a later date. Purchasers of ADATA's external storage devices are eligible for a free download of the latest Norton Internet Security 2013 anti-virus (60 day trial version), as well as the company's propriety HDDtoGO software, giving home and business users an easy way to take care of security and data backup. The HV620 comes with a three year warranty and will be available at launch from Amazon.com and Newegg.com.
