Asus Vivobook Reported to Offer next-gen AMD Radeon HD 8000 mobile graphics

AMD's next line of Radeon HD graphics cards may be closer than you think.

Despite remaining tight-lipped about the release of its upcoming family of Radeon HD 8000 graphics cards, the mobile graphic cards have begun to surface thanks to several e-retailers who prematurely offered pre-orders for the ASUS VivoBook (U3DT-R3001H).

Web retailer Cyberport currently has the ASUS VivoBook available for pre-order, and among the list of specs is the AMD Radeon HD 8550M, which supposedly will offer a 1GB of memory.  

In addition to the new graphics card, the ASUS VivoBook will reportedly offer a AMD Vision A8 processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive,

Even with the recent leak, little is still known about the upcoming line of AMD graphics cards. With ASUS and AMD refraining from making comments on the recent leak, it is unlikely that we will learn anything more about the upcoming graphics in the near future.

However, it is possible both companies may be preparing to reveal more at CES, which begins next month on Jan. 8.
