WD has announced My Passport Enterprise, a portable hard drive aimed specifically at Microsoft's Windows To Go. Windows To Go allows users to put a copy of Windows 8 on bootable USB drives, which can be loaded onto a computer and used as a desktop environment.
My Passport Enterprise has 500GB of storage and allows users to keep their data and settings for Windows 8, so that they can boot and run the program on any compatible PC. Data needs in corporate environments have changed over the years, with an increasing demand on portability.
WD wants to extend that portability to include allowing users to take their workspace with them, and My Passport Enterprise will allow professionals to carry their corporate workspace with them wherever they go, giving them simple flexibility.
