Western Digital introduced the company's first 2TB portable storage drive for Macs today. The WD My Passport Studio has Apple Time Machine compatibility for backing up Mac hard drives and according to WD, the Studio can save all of your data in one place. Just like the MacBook Air and Pro, it has an all-metal aluminum casing. The exterior is also scratch resistant.
The portable storage drive has a USB 2.0 interface and two FireWire 800 ports. It features hardware encryption capabilities and users can utilize the included password protection software for added security.
The 2TB WD My Passport Studio portable hard drive is available now on WD's website and from select retailers. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is $299.99.
