Our Dell Latitude E5420 review unit has the following specifications:
The Latitude E5420 is customizable. It can be configured with up to an Intel Core i7-2620M dual-core processor, one of two display resolutions (1366x768 or 1600 x 900), up to 8GB of memory at 1333MHz (2 DIMMS), a 128GB solid state drive, and even a backlit dual-pointing keyboard. Our review unit has a 9-cell 97Whr battery pack, which means it'll achieve more mobile life time than the 6-cell 60Whr battery. The only important piece of hardware that can't be customized is the graphics card.
Performance and Benchmarks
With the combination of the second-gen Intel dual-core processor running at 2.6GHz, Intel HD graphics, and 4GB dual-channel RAM at 1333MHz, this notebook is able to breeze through everyday office tasks and then some. We watched a couple of HD 1080p videos, had several office productivity programs open, and listened to music at the same time without any problems. Generally speaking, the notebook scored about the same as most other business notebooks in this price range ($1000) in the synthetic benchmark tests.
