Performance and Benchmarks
Our Lenovo B470 review unit is equipped with an Intel Core i5-2410M dual-core processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory at 1333MHz, and a NVIDIA GeForce 410M switchable to Intel HD graphics to save on battery life. Our unit has a 500GB Hitachi hard drive with a 5400 rotational speed. The processor is fast and the amount of memory is sufficient, and when working together they are good enough to multi-task and run office productivity software with a breeze.
The NVIDIA graphics card is only an entry-level graphics card but it shouldn't have any problems playing HD video or some older games. To put it in prospective, the 410M graphics card isn't much better than Intel HD 3000 graphics unless you're playing games. The hard drive provides a decent amount of space but has a slower speed than the faster 7200rpm hard drives or extremely fast solid state drives. There is currently no option to choose a faster drive on the Lenovo website.
